The project appeared in November 2020, through an informal chat with three musician friends from Macaé: Magno Elias, drummer musician; Francarlos Amaral , singer, music producer and representative of Sindimusi-RJ in the North of Rio de Janeiro; and Ulysses Cabral , bassist, guitarist and music producer.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the need for social isolation, the three friends used virtual platforms to talk about their own musical experiences.

It was there that Magno, of a more recent generation, upon learning of the stories lived by Francarlos and Ulysses, in the 70s and 80s in Macaé, discovered places and personalities of the time that did not have due recognition.
In the midst of these conversations, Magno discovers the book "Macaé Memórias Recentes" and, coincidentally, he finds there reports on figures such as professor Dácio Lobo, Dacinho, guitar teacher João Salgado, who taught the first steps of music to people like Lúcio Duval, Piry Reis and Marcos Darlan Cure. And also from places that no longer exist, like Barracão da Criação, Palácio dos Mendigos, and so on.

That informal chat, more than a hobby to get rid of the boredom caused by the quarantine, became the need to bring to the public stories of great relevance to the culture of the city and which, until then, were not told in a way that create a social awareness of appreciation.

Our objective is to report facts and curiosities of the past and present of the artistic and musical life of the municipality, emphasizing the past, raising the awareness of society in the sense of valuing culture, in particular music, which is the focus of the project.
All of our work aims to awaken, in the public, the spirit of belonging and pride of the place where we live, through this awareness of appreciation and to contribute with the works that have already been done by researchers, memorialists and public authorities, in this sense.

Create the Memory of Macaense Music;
To form, with artists from other areas, intellectuals and civil society in general, a cohesive movement that is attentive to the cultural conjuncture of the municipality. A movement that has initiatives in its artistic activities and that puts pressure on the public power as to the attributions that it is responsible for. For example, charging for the revitalization of abandoned spaces, such as the case of Clube Ypiranga and Espaço Cultural Vovó Silvana, at the old Glicério train station.

The content covered will be presented in a podcast and transcribed on a website.
The idea is that attention should be given to the public with special needs, such as the hearing and visually impaired.
The format of each episode will adapt to each particular situation. For example: when the subject is somewhere, an explanation of its history will be made and the testimony of someone who has an understanding of the subject will be reproduced; when it comes to an interview, it will be a more relaxed chat.
All of this will be transcribed in text to be placed on the website.
